AIKO Multifunctional Sheets are made of high-quality 100% virgin wool. Wool is one of the most functional natural materials and, thanks to its unique properties, is even used today in high-performance sports.
It regulates temperature, is breathable, moisture-wicking, and antibacterial. This creates a comfortable body climate that supports your horse in various weather conditions. At the same time, excess moisture can be absorbed and released to the outside without the material immediately feeling damp.
Another advantage: Wool has natural elasticity and feels comfortable against the coat. At the same time, hay, straw, or sawdust usually stick only to the surface and can often be easily shaken off or brushed out. As a result, the sheet stays in good condition for a long time and needs to be washed less frequently than many synthetic materials.
The Multifunctional Sheet also serves as a practical back warmer for your horse. It protects your horse’s sensitive back and lumbar region from wind and drafts and helps maintain a comfortable microclimate—for example, after training, during walks, or during longer walking phases.

As a result, the finished products remain particularly dimensionally stable and shrink only minimally when properly cared for. In everyday use, it’s often enough to simply shake out or brush off hay, straw, sawdust, or dust. Thanks to wool’s natural properties, many stains don’t need to be washed out immediately.
Please always follow the care instructions on the product when cleaning. With the right care, the Multifunctional Sheet will last for many years and retain its natural properties as well as its high-quality appearance.
For the AIKO Multifunctional Sheet, we use high-quality 100% virgin wool, which is carefully pre-washed and specially steamed before processing. This additional step is more labor-intensive but offers a decisive quality advantage.
Wool is a natural material and may change after the first wash. Pre-washing largely completes this natural process before the product is even manufactured. As a result, the finished products retain their shape and, with proper care, shrink only minimally.
The AIKO multifunctional sheet is available in various sizes so you can tailor its use to your needs and your horse.
Wool rarely needs to be washed. The less often wool is washed, the longer it retains its natural properties. It is often sufficient to let the blankets air out overnight, to simply brush out coarse dirt or to clean it in places with a little wool detergent and then with clear water.
However, our blankets can also be washed with a gentle wool washing program and wool detergent (30°C and max. 400 rpm spin).
It is best to straighten it out a bit after washing and hang it on the drying rack to dry (do not hang it).
